It's been three months - so it's time for a goals check in! Back in January I wrote the following:
Establish once monthly supper club with Sarah W. by Feb 28th
Develop Diamond's social people group skills by July 31st
Run 5 miles with no breaks by March 31st - Bike 10 miles continuously by March 31st
Swim 1 mile with no breaks by April 15th - Swim 2 miles with no breaks by trialthon date
Bike 15 miles continuously by tri date
Participate in the Danskin Tri - May/June
Finish apartment thriller for public consumption by May 15th
Host Field Day TRES in May CINCO DE FIELD DAY
Pay off car by October 31st
Host Field Day #4 in October/November
On reviewing this, I actually feel pretty good about most of my 2013 goals. Obviously there's one on the list that isn't going to be achieved, but all the others are still well on track. A few of them - apartment thriller, car payoff, and field days - are trucking along nicely.
Fitness wise, I won't be able to run 5 miles without a walk break by the end of the month, but I have just registered for the Statesman 10K on April 7th! It's a tangible challenging goal, but I believe that I can handle it. Anthony's doing it with me, and I've worked out a training schedule for the next 3 & 1/2 weeks. Accomplishing my swimming goals are going to be the toughest, as I've been out of commission for the past 6 weeks, and that Barton Springs Pool is closed for construction. I do plan to start swimming at Deep Eddy before work though - they have free swim from 6am-8am each weekday.
Supper club establishment was later than I'd hoped, but Sarah and I are in talks, and are planning our first one for very early April. Can't wait for the glorious food!
I also have a few new goals for the next three months:
- Finish a modern baby quilt for a friend by the April 9th due date
- Design and complete two additional modern quilts
- Decide where I'm living next by the end of the month!
- Find a volunteering outlet by April 20th
- Attend first doula training weekend in June
