Long post: I've been deep thinking, researching, and journaling about compassion. Thich Nhat Hanh's words have been inspiring me. Yet questions are bubbling up inside my heart. How does compassion interact with privilege? Who is rewarded for compassionate living? Who can place themselves as that expert? How does compassion interact with justice? I don't have these answers yet, but I'm willing to keep looking.
In the meantime, I work on one of TNH's mantra practices:
1st mantra: “Darling, I am here for you.”
2nd mantra: “I know you are there, and I am very happy.”
3rd mantra: “Darling, I know you suffer. That is why I am here for you.”
4th mantra: “Darling, I suffer. Please help.”
🌳 Breathe & Rise🌙
You know what's nice? Taking time from the shame of "shoulds" and "musts". You know what's even nicer? Finding you're ready to get back in after the break. A Road of Your Own is back y'all! I won't be doing the subscription boxes, but I will be doing a quarterly event or two and supporting your rad babe power 💗💗💗💗💗

That audi commercial hit me right in the feels. The Women's Media Center is reporting that some people are calling it 'anti-male propaganda'. First of all 😒😒😒, secondly ✊✊✊ (image from @wordforwordfactory this is one of her buttons that's been featured in #aboxofyourown)
@onewillow_apothecaries blog post from Jan 17th is speaking directly to my heart. "It is time we reclaimed our own ability to self define. To take back our representation. Time to flesh out the image of women everywhere and be ahown in our fullness. It is time to let go of the mild poison that is 'nice' ... instead of teaching our children to be nice girls, what if raised them to be kind women? Women whose goodness depended not on how others saw them, but how they decided to carry themselves in the world?" 👏👏
